How to Be Rodeo Ready When Vegas Becomes a Cowboy Town

It’s the most wonderful time of the year, and we’re not talking Christmas. It’s time for the National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas! For 10 days, and 10 fabulous nights, Vegas transforms into a cowboy town with so much to take in all across the valley. Whether or not this is your first rodeo, there are a few things to keep in mind to make the most of this 10-day takeover.

New Policies
The Thomas & Mack Center has adopted the clear bag policy that has grown in popularity in stadiums and venues across the nation in an effort to keep this a fun, safe event that we continue to look forward to. So while that bag you have may be fabulous, save it for the after parties or to show off at Cowboy Christmas, if it is within the size requirements.

Recharging
Sleep is an urban legend, but should be taken advantage of when presented so you’re ready to go for the next adventure that the rodeo will throw at you. Running off of coffee will only get you so far.

Plan of Attack
With so many things to do and going on at any given time during the 10 days, it is easy to overlook something that was considered a must do. Take some time to map out your plan of attack, the NFR Experience App is a great way to do that all while being able to see what is going on around town at any given time, right in the palm of your hand.

Health
Maybe this is just me, but going strong for any amount of time takes a toll on my immune system. I make it a part of my daily routine to have a packet of Emergen-C everyday as not to burn out our fall a victim to sickness during all the fun. With that being said, also hydrate, it’s still a desert out here, and your liver will thank you.

After the Party is the After Party
Come for the rodeo, stay for the after party. You’re in Vegas, we know how to get a party started and steady no matter what day of the week. Check casino properties for what they have to offer in forms of entertainment, or simply just a good time once that final bull has run for the night. Come with the family? There are a handful of family-friendly properties that have something for all ages as well.

My friends and I look forward to the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo every year, and 2017 is no exception. Looking forward to the new adventures and fun that’s in store!

Do you have any tips or tricks I could use to make the most of rodeo this year?
