Recaps and Resolutions in the New Year

Here we are, ready to head into another year full of promise and potential. There is no denying that 2018 was a year of learning for me and now I have some very ambitious goals and resolutions in mind as we head into 2019. But before I dive into my new goals, I don’t want to diminish the accomplishments of the current year.

I am so excited to come into a new year being able to say something I haven’t been able to say ten years, I am student loan and credit card debt free! I took this year to get very acquainted with my financial goals in the pursuit of financial freedom and I couldn’t be happier that I did.  I plan to continue to grow my knowledge and to keep working hard towards my financial goals in the coming year, and hopefully apply this information in new and exciting ways.

This year allowed me to travel to so many new, exciting and beautiful locations within America from the delicately painted arches of Moab, Utah to the lively and bustling city of Chicago, and even explore parts my own state previously undiscovered in breathtaking Lake Tahoe.

I’m excited for big trips on the horizon and new adventures in 2019. Luis and I will be taking our first European trip in March to Ireland. We’re renting a car and exploring a country that has been on my bucket list for as long as I can remember. I’m definitely both nervous and excited to adventure somewhere new!

Some of my big goals in the coming year include demolishing some of Dave Ramsey’s baby steps to have my car completely paid off before my 30th birthday, getting serious about my passion projects and really committing to learning Spanish.

I’m excited to come in 2019 with challenging goals and an open heart and mind for what could be.

What goals or adventures are you looking forward to the most in the coming year?

    1. Thank you! It is very exciting, only one more big piece to go. Like you said, staying focused is totally the key, but that doesn’t mean that it can’t be difficult at times!
